• The charter recognizes LAUSD as a co-equal branch of city government with the mayor/council/city hall branch – did anyone at city hall bother ask the board of education what they thought?
• Was Measure L – a Charter Amendment – vetted through the Neighborhood Councils as the charter calls for – any more than Measure R was?
I seem to recall some city council mea culpas and promises never to do it again in the R process – is this deja vu all over again? – smf
